Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The kit captures the later version with the large cast turret and the 85 mm gun; the parts are crisply shaped in gray plastic and the tracks are made as a flexible belt. The decals make it possible to build several particular machines.
The T-34 is among the most significant tanks of the Second World War; the combination of sloped armor, wide tracks and a dependable diesel made it an exceptionally effective weapon. The T-34/85 version received a larger turret and a more powerful 85 mm gun, which improved its chances against more heavily armored German tanks. In this form the T-34 fought from 1944 to the end of the war and served long afterwards in many armies around the world.
Fit the flexible tracks only once the running gear is painted, so that they sit well around the wheels. Thin plastic cement, a primer base and an airbrush are all recommended; bring the typical Russian green to life with dry-brushing on the edges and dark washes in the shadows. Finish the dust and mud on the running gear with pigments, which give a small model a look that is faithful in scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
