This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer Military Wheels represents an engineer conversion of the T-34/85 tank rebuilt into a repair and recovery vehicle fitted with a winch. The model is built from plastic parts and is meant to be glued together and painted.
The T-34/85 medium tank became one of the most widespread armored vehicles of the Second World War. Withdrawn or worn-out hulls were commonly rebuilt into auxiliary vehicles — repair and recovery machines that, thanks to a winch and a modified superstructure, pulled out bogged-down hardware and carried out field repairs. It is exactly such a machine that this kit depicts.
The smaller 1:72 scale means small parts — work with a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic, and lay down a primer before painting. It is a good idea to plan out the running gear and the superstructure before the final assembly. The patina will be helped by dark washes in the recesses and dust or mud pigments on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
