Eduard masks T-6G Texan 1:72 is a die-cut self-adhesive mask set for a model of the American trainer aircraft T-6 Texan. It ensures sharp color transitions on the glazing, wheels and camouflage. It is not a model, but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard mask set in 1:72 scale is made for the plastic model of the American trainer aircraft North American T-6 Texan, G version. It is not a kit or a standalone model, but a set of precisely shaped masks made of thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). Modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, wheels and camouflage fields without laboriously cutting tape by hand will appreciate the masks.
The North American T-6 Texan is an American two-seat trainer aircraft with a radial engine, on which the overwhelming majority of Allied pilots of the Second World War trained. The postwar modernized G version received an updated frame, fuel system and equipment, and served in many countries for years afterward. Its defining feature for masking is the long glazed canopy over the two cockpits.
Carefully degrease the long glazed cockpit canopy. Peel the masks off the backing and apply them to the individual frames, pressing them into the edges, and fine-tune the transitions with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats so it does not seep under the edge. The wheel masks separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint dries, carefully peel them off at a sharp angle.
The package contains only the masks. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
