Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a model in 1:72 scale, not a kit. It contains pre-cut self-adhesive masks for covering the glazing while spraying. Special Mask is a Czech brand that specializes in masks cut exactly to the shape of the parts of a particular model.
The Ki-54 was a Japanese twin-engine multipurpose machine used during the Second World War above all for training. The Allies gave it the code name Hickory. The Otsu version served for training crews in onboard armament and radio operation, so its glazing and its internal fit differed from the transport version. For a modeler it is interesting precisely because it steps outside the usual offering of Japanese fighters and bombers and looks like a piece of its own in any display case.
The fuselage of the trainer has a large number of windows one behind another, and the human eye spots at once when one frame is wider than its neighbor. That is exactly where a ready-made mask is worth most. Work systematically from the nose backwards so that you skip no window, and keep checking the position against the light. Before the exterior shade is sprayed, it pays to spray the interior color onto the masked glazing first, so that the frames do not look translucent from the inside. Take the masks off soon after the paint has dried, and over the edge rather than straight up.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
