A plastic kit of the Polish TK-S tankette in 1:72 scale. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The TK-S is a Polish tankette of the 1930s. It grew out of a British design that Poland took over and modified further: a crew of two, a low fixed superstructure without a rotating turret and machine-gun armament. Vehicles of this family were among the most numerous armored vehicles of the Polish army and were used mainly for reconnaissance and for escorting infantry. Against tanks they were at an obvious disadvantage, being small and lightly armored, but in the field they handled nimbly and quickly.
The model is supplied as a kit to be glued and painted. In 1:72 scale the vehicle is tiny, so the running gear, the exhaust and the fittings on the superstructure make up small parts that are handled with tweezers over a mat with raised edges. The assembly sequence and the layout of the parts are shown in the manufacturer's instructions.
Dry-fit the parts first and only then glue them; on a small model every deviation shows in how the running gear seats. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off, so that the edge does not break away. Wash and degrease the model before painting. Apply the paint in thin coats so that the shallow relief is not lost, and let it dry thoroughly between coats.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
