Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the legendary German Tiger I heavy tank in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The set contains finely shaped parts in gray plastic, one-piece vinyl tracks and a decal sheet. The model faithfully captures the characteristic slab-sided hull, the turret and the massive gun of this famous armored vehicle of the Second World War.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank committed to action from 1942. It combined thick armor with a powerful 88 mm gun able to destroy enemy tanks at long range. Despite its weight, demanding maintenance and high production cost it became one of the best-known tanks of the war and a symbol of the heavy armor of its day. It went through a series of changes during production, so early, mid and late machines differ in detail.
Assemble and paint the running gear before closing the hull, where access to the interleaved road wheels is best. Join the vinyl tracks with cyanoacrylate glue. Lay down primer and the base shade with an airbrush, and on later machines consider a three-tone camouflage. Build the weathering with washes into the engraved lines, pigments on the running gear and light shading of the large surfaces of the turret and hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
