The set 1:72 Panavia Tornado GR.1 - glazing masks covers the panes of the canopy of the tandem cabin. The frames stay free, so they can be sprayed together with the camouflage of the airframe.

A masking set for the clear part of a model in 1:72 scale. The masks correspond to the shape of the individual panes of the canopy and of the windshield, so once they are stuck on only the narrow metal frames stay uncovered. Those are sprayed in the same color as the airframe and once the masks are taken off the cabin looks like a single whole. On a modern combat aircraft that is important: the frames are narrow and any flow of paint onto the glass is visible at first glance.
The Panavia Tornado is a twin-engine combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in European cooperation. The crew consists of a pilot and a systems operator sitting one behind the other in a tandem cabin. The designation GR.1 is carried by the British form intended for attacks on ground targets and for reconnaissance. The canopy is long and divided by only a few massive panes, which against biplane cabins is an entirely different task - fewer parts, but larger areas, on which every bubble under a mask shows.
Wash the clear part, degrease it and let it dry. Transfer the mask with tweezers, lay it in the middle of the pane and push the air out toward the edges - with large areas that is the most important step. First spray a thin coat of the color of the frame as seen from the interior, then the base and finally the camouflage. A thick coat at the edge of a mask creates a step that stays visible once it is taken off. Take the mask off once the paint has gone tacky, with a pull at an angle to the side.
