An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M19 self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle in 1:72 scale from FORE ART. It is a new mold that brings unusually rich contents to a small scale: besides the plastic parts, the box also holds a photo-etched fret and turned metal parts. That makes a detailed model possible even at this size.
The M19 was an American self-propelled anti-aircraft gun built on the chassis of the M24 Chaffee light tank. In an open rotating turret it carried a pair of 40 mm Bofors automatic cannons, which could destroy low-flying aircraft and ground targets alike. The vehicle reached the fighting of the Second World War only at its very end and made a bigger mark in the Korean War. Some other armies used it as well.
Use thin cement for plastic and separate the small parts carefully; in this scale they are fragile. Finish and paint the interior of the open turret and the gun barrels before you close the assembly up. Glue the photo-etched and turned metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; an airbrush is ideal. A gentle panel wash and restrained dust pigments suit the olive drab well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
