This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat F-15D version of the US Air Force in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds, released as a limited edition. FineMolds is among the leading producers of the Eagle in this scale; the model captures the two-seat cockpit and the avionics of the day precisely. The F-15 Eagle is a heavy twin-engine fighter intended to gain air superiority and one of the most successful machines in its category. The D version is the two-seater, with a second crew member behind the pilot; it serves for training as well as for combat duties. An upgrade program raised the capabilities of the avionics, and the strike version F-15E Strike Eagle later grew out of the Eagle family.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Finish and paint the two-seat cockpit before closing the fuselage. Mask the glazing and varnish it at the end. Apply a primer; USAF Eagles often carried a grayish low-visibility scheme in two tones. A fine wash will bring out the panels; fit the external stores and the tanks only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
