Kelik 1:72 USS Ranger 1941 is a color display base with the motif of the deck of this American aircraft carrier as she was in 1941, for models in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This color base from Kelik captures the deck of the American aircraft carrier USS Ranger as she looked in 1941. It is intended under aircraft models built in 1:72 scale and replaces the laborious building of a deck scene.
The deck surfaces of American carriers from the start of the war look visually different from British ones and have a color scheme of their own. A model of a fighter or a dive bomber on such a base fits at once into the setting it belongs to, and the display case stops looking like a row of machines suspended in emptiness. The effect arrives without a single drop of glue and without touching the model itself.
Ranger was the first American ship designed from the keel up as a carrier rather than converted from another type of vessel. Compared with later carriers she was smaller and slower, so the Navy used her mainly in the Atlantic. The year 1941 meant patrol service and ferrying aircraft for her, that is the period just before the United States entered the war.
It is a display accessory; no part of a model of the ship or of an aircraft is in the box.
