Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the heavy Mil Mi-24 attack helicopter in 1:72 scale from the Polish manufacturer Mistercraft. The name refers to the Mi-24W and Mi-24D versions and to the first part of a series of packages devoted to Polish machines. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Mi-24 is a twin-engine attack helicopter with an armored pilot's and operator's cockpit arranged one behind the other and with a cargo compartment in the middle of the fuselage, which is characteristic of this type. The main rotor is five-blade, and the wings carry pylons for rocket pods, anti-tank guided missiles and other armament. The NATO code for the whole family is Hind. The Mi-24W designation corresponds to the Polish transcription of the Mi-24V version, while the Mi-24D version is an older configuration with a different arrangement of the cockpits and the armament; both served side by side with the Polish Air Force. It is precisely the differences between the two versions that are among the things that make building the model interesting.
First make clear from the instructions which version you are building, because they differ in the forward part of the fuselage and in part of the armament. Glue the plastic with a thin cement for polystyrene and sand the seams on the fuselage halves. Mask the cockpit glazing and fit it only after the camouflage has been sprayed. Spray multicolored camouflages with an airbrush and create the fine transitions by free spraying from a short distance or with soft masks. Glue the rotor blades and the pylons with armament on at the end, so that they do not get in your way. Choose the patina according to service: on these machines weathering shows mainly on the upper surface, around the exhausts and on the landing gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
