A decal set from the SPACE line of the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the two-seat MiG-15UTI jet trainer in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit or a finished model but an accessory with which a modeler raises the level of detail of a kit under way. The decals are applied to the plastic parts and take the place of tiny painting.
The MiG-15UTI is the two-seat training version of the MiG-15 jet fighter. Instructor and pupil sit in tandem under a lengthened canopy, and the armament is reduced compared with the combat version. The type was built in large numbers and served for many years in dozens of countries as the basic jet trainer. In Czechoslovakia it was built under license under the domestic designation CS-102, so it is a machine with a direct link to Czech aviation.
The base must be smooth, clean and degreased. Spray the part in the base shade and let it cure. Moisten only the backing paper with a sponge and a drop of detergent, lift the element with tweezers and fix it with white PVA glue; the manufacturer does not recommend cyanoacrylate glue. Do not use a softener, as it would damage the printed resin and ruin the element. Once dry, cover the area with matte or satin varnish. Models with a polished metal finish are demanding about cleanliness, so work in a dust-free environment and with degreased hands.
It is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
