A set of printed waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the DP Casper brand, meant for models of the Vought F4U-4 Corsair fighter aircraft. It offers markings and national insignia for machines from the last months of the Second World War in the Pacific. It is not a kit: the decals serve to finish a model obtained separately.
The F4U-4 was the powerful late version of the legendary Corsair carrier fighter with its characteristic bent gull wing. It reached the fighting in the closing stage of the war and stood out for higher engine power and rate of climb than the earlier variants. It was deployed with units of the US Navy and the Marine Corps in the Pacific theater.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss coat, which will keep the film from fogging. A decal softener and a setting solution are worth using, so that the markings settle even on broken surfaces and riveting. Once dry, cover them with a matte or semi-gloss coat to even the surface out.
The package holds decals only. The model itself, paints and clear coat are not included.
