1:72 Vulcan B.2 is an Eduard set of masking stencils for a model of the British bomber Avro Vulcan B.2. It serves for spraying the glazing and other clear surfaces exactly.

This is not a model or decals but a set of pre-cut masking stencils for a model of the Avro Vulcan B.2 aircraft in 1:72 scale. The stencils are made of masking tape, cut exactly to the shape of the frames of the glazing and of the other surfaces that are to be protected while spraying. That does away with the most tiresome part of the work - cutting strips of tape by hand to fit the cockpit framing. Check the exact make-up of the set and the number of stencils on the packaging.
The Avro Vulcan B.2 was a British strategic bomber with a characteristic delta wing and four jet engines built into the wing roots. Against the first batch, the B.2 version had a reworked wing of greater span, more powerful engines and a higher ceiling. The machine served in the strategic as well as the conventional role and its silhouette is among the most easily recognized in postwar aviation. In 1:72 scale it is a model of considerable span, so masking the glazing has a large share in the final impression.
Clean the glazing of grease and fingerprints before you stick the stencils on, and press the tape down with a soft stick or a toothpick, above all at the edges. Spray in thin coats, because a heavy coat of paint makes a step for itself and may tear away while the mask is being removed. Take the stencils off soon after the paint has dried and rather at a sharp angle, not straight upward. It pays to spray the base of the cockpit with the interior color first and only then with the outer shade, because the transition then looks natural.
The set is an accessory for the model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
