Wheels for an ox-drawn cart in 1:72 scale. Accessory parts for rural and historical dioramas; the cart itself is not included.
Responsibility details are not available.
An ox-drawn cart is a vehicle that was used in Europe for centuries and was still driven in the countryside in the first half of the twentieth century. In dioramas it appears as a farm cart on a field track, by a farmstead or in a stream of civilians on the road out of a threatened area. The set brings the wheels of such a cart in 1:72 scale, that is the parts from which a cart is built or with which the coarser parts from a kit are replaced.
The item supplied is the wheels for an ox-drawn cart. Their number and diameter are specified in the manufacturer's description, as is the material they are made of; choose the glue according to that. The manufacturer also makes the same item in 1:35 and 1:48 scale, so the same cart can be built in several sizes.
Spoked wheels are among the parts that are easily damaged, so work with them over a tray and put them down in a dish. Wash and degrease them before painting. The wooden parts of a cart are well imitated with a base brown shade, over which a lighter color is laid with a dry brush along the grain, and a weak dark wash that brings out the joints between the felloes. Set any iron tire apart in a darker, slightly rusty shade. Seat a wheel standing on the ground so that it touches the base across its whole width.
The wheels will be appreciated by builders of rural and historical dioramas as well as by modelers who add a cart to a figure scene. The model of the cart, figures, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
