Eduard 1:72 masks Whitley Mk. V is a cut self-adhesive masking set of kabuki tape for masking the nose glazing, the cockpit and the turrets of a model of the British night bomber. It is not a model but an accessory for painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks of fine Japanese kabuki tape. It is neither a kit nor a model but an accessory for clean masking of the nose glazing, the cockpit, the turrets and the wheels while paint is sprayed. The set is in 1:72 scale.
The masks are stuck onto the frames of the glazed nose, the cockpit and the gun turrets, and onto the wheel hubs. After spraying the glass stays clear and the tires stay free of paint. Kabuki tape adapts to the shapes of the frames, holds tightly and leaves no adhesive when peeled off. On a bomber with several glazed sections the set saves a striking amount of time.
The Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk. V was a British twin-engine night bomber of the Second World War powered by Rolls-Royce Merlin X engines. It was the most numerously built version of the Whitley and one of the mainstay night bombers of Bomber Command in the first years of the war. Later it also served with Coastal Command and as a training machine.
The set contains only cut self-adhesive masking parts. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
