An accessory for building a model of the Soviet experimental aircraft Ye-152M in 1:72 scale from the New Ware brand. It is not a kit — you get a sheet with pre-cut self-adhesive masks, which replaces the lengthy drawing around of the frames of the glazing with a brush and the cutting of tape from an adhesive sheet alike.
Apply the mask onto clean and degreased glazing before you seat the canopy on the fuselage. A thin layer of base follows, then the shade of the cockpit frame and only at the end the overall camouflage. Apply every layer as thinly as possible: the thicker the film that arises at the edge of the mask, the more pronounced the step that stays once it is off. Direct the airbrush at a right angle to the edge of the mask, not at an angle under it — a slanted stream of air is the most common cause of paint running under.
The manufacturer issues masks for the same aircraft in the BASIC, ADVANCED and EXPERT grades. It is exactly the grade that decides the extent of masking and it is the main difference between sets with the same name. This item is the EXPERT grade.
The package holds only the masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in it.
