A set of four Notek lights in 1:87 scale for models of German combat vehicles of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Notek light is a blackout lamp that the German army fitted to its vehicles during the Second World War so that they could be driven under blackout conditions. The front headlamp cast a narrow strip of light low onto the road and was practically invisible from above or from a distance; the rear convoy light in turn helped keep the spacing in a column. It is precisely this detail that gives a model of a German vehicle its period look, because ordinary headlamps looked different.
Four lights in 1:87 scale, that is in the scale in which both railway models and the military hardware to go with them are built. The parts are tiny, so work with tweezers and over a surface with a raised edge, so that a lost piece does not roll off onto the floor.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand off the remainder carefully. The parts are not polystyrene, so they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; apply it in a minimal amount with a pin or a wire, otherwise the excess will spread over the surroundings. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and apply a base coat. The lens of the light can be suggested with a drop of gloss varnish once the whole part has been sprayed.
The model of the vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
