1:9 Clostridex is the largest of this publisher's line of busts and offers room for genuinely detailed painting work.
Responsibility details are not available.
1:9 is a large format among busts. That means not only a taller piece on the shelf but above all considerably more room for detail: where a smaller rendering merely suggests, here you can really paint. The invented name hints that this is a being of fantasy, not a portrait of a historical figure.
As the area grows, so does the technique. Opaque paint spreads evenly with more difficulty, so either an airbrush for the base coats suits, or the patient application of very thin paint over a greater number of strokes. The transitions between tones have to be longer and finer, otherwise streaks appear. The reward is that at this size even small things such as veins, cracks or skin texture come out, which would be lost elsewhere.
Before joining the parts, always try how they seat against each other and fill any gap before the primer coat goes on; once painted, a correction is hard to make. Large busts also need a stable seating; a lower, wider base holds the center of gravity better than a narrow column. For photography as well as the cabinet, light from above and slightly from the side works well.
In a large format it is worth putting time into preparing the surface; shortcomings would otherwise be conspicuous.
