Brass tubes 20 cm long. The number seven in the name distinguishes the individual sets within the series, which differ in diameters, so check in the manufacturer's description what dimensions the package holds before you buy. Brass is a material that cuts and sands well while holding its shape, so in modeling it is used for what would be too soft or too thick in plastic.
The tubes replace plastic barrels, exhausts and nozzles, because their mouths are genuinely hollow and do not have to be drilled. They also come in useful as hydraulic and fuel lines, as struts and grab handles, as pins for movable joints or as reinforcement for thin parts. A longer piece can be divided up for several uses, so it will last across more than one model.
Cut the tube with a fine-toothed saw in a miter box or with a tube cutter, which wraps around it and cuts gradually, so that the end does not get squashed. Remove the burr inside and out with a fine file or a pointed knife. It can be bent only in a gentle arc, otherwise the wall will break. Degrease the surfaces before gluing and use super glue, because ordinary cement for polystyrene will not hold here. Degrease the brass again before painting and lay down a primer made for metals so that the paint does not slide off.
Tools, glue and paints are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
