A sanding file in an extra fine grit with the designation 20 mm, one piece in the package. For the finishing sanding of a model before painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
An extra fine grit is the last stage before painting. It removes only a minimum of material and above all it smooths over the scratches left by coarser sanding and evens the surface out in the places where glued parts have come together or where you have removed excess material. On a surface sanded in this way the paint takes hold evenly and does not emphasize the marks of the previous steps. The package contains one piece.
Always go from a coarser grit to a finer one and do not skip any stage, otherwise deeper scratches will be left flooded with paint. Work with light pressure and longer strokes in one direction; pressure tends to make the surface wavy rather than level. Tap the file out as you go; abrasive that is clogged stops cutting and only polishes the surface. Check your progress against the light at a shallow angle, which is how unevenness shows up best.
The file is for sanding, not for cutting or separating parts; use a saw or a sharp blade for that. Protect edges and fine surface detail: an extra fine grit is gentle, but on a raised rivet or on a sharp edge it takes material off sooner than on a flat area. Wash and degrease the model before painting, so that no sanding dust is left on the surface.
Other grits, the model and paints are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
