An aftermarket accessory, not a whole model. The turned metal barrel replaces the plastic barrel from a kit of a Soviet or Russian tank and gives the gun of 125 mm caliber a faithful straight profile and a precise muzzle end.
The 2A46M is a Soviet smoothbore tank gun of 125 mm caliber and 48 calibers in length, the main armament of the whole range of modern tanks: the T-72, the T-80 and the T-90. The gun fires separate-loading ammunition and uses a fin-stabilized sub-caliber projectile, shaped-charge and high-explosive rounds, and on some vehicles a gun-launched guided missile as well.
Exchange the plastic barrel for the metal one, clean up the mating surface in the turret and glue the barrel in with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer for the airbrush. On modern hardware it is worth considering the separate thermal sleeve of the barrel according to the particular kit.
