A flat sheet of ABS 2 mm thick and 245 x 195 mm in size, one piece per bag. It is not a kit nor an accessory for a model, but raw stock: it is cut, sanded and drilled and serves as a load-bearing base where thin film is no longer enough.
A two-millimeter sheet is already past the point where scoring and snapping will do. Run the knife along a metal rule several times; on longer straight cuts a saw helps, and level the edge afterwards with a file. ABS sands more cleanly than hard resins and takes heat forming better than thin styrene, but make the joints with glue for ABS or with super glue.
On a large flat area a mistake shows only under the paint, and by then it is too late. A thin coat of light primer is the simplest check on your work: it evens out the sheen of the whole sheet and shows up file marks, sunken filler and dried glue residue at once, which on bare plastic are practically invisible. What shows up you correct and spray again — only then does reaching for the final shade make sense. On smooth ABS the primer also plays a second part, as a bonding coat, because paint laid straight on smooth plastic rubs off a flat surface most easily.
For builders of dioramas, conversions and structures of their own who need a stiff plastic material in a sensible format and do not want to layer thin films on top of each other.
Protect your eyes when cutting and sanding, do not breathe the dust in and work in a well-ventilated place.
