30MS Option Parts Set 5 (Heavy Armor) is a Bandai accessory set of parts for models of the 30MS range. It adds heavy armor elements to a figure already built; the model itself is not included.

You are not buying a model but a set of parts for one. Bandai's 30MS range is built on the idea that the parts of its models can be interchanged and added to, and that is exactly what this set is for: according to the name it brings heavy armor elements that turn a lightly built figure into an armored variant. You can therefore put the appearance together your own way and return it to its original state at any time.
A build without glue
The parts are injection-molded from plastic pre-colored right through and snap together; neither glue nor paints are needed. Separate them from the sprue with nippers leaving a small margin and then trim the rest of the gate with a sharp knife, so that the edge does not turn white. Anyone who wants to can paint the set: armor surfaces respond gratefully to dark emphasis on the panel lines and to light chipping of the edges, which gives a part bulk.
On armor attachments the most sensitive spot is usually the joint: the peg works loose with repeated fitting. If a joint holds poorly, a drop of clear varnish on the peg will help; if, on the other hand, it goes on stiffly, widen the hole slightly with a drill rather than forcing the part. If you are spraying the set, leave the contact surfaces out or paint them only very thinly, because a layer of paint tightens the joints. Heavy attachments also shift the center of gravity of a figure, so it pays to stand it on a base.
This is an accessory set of parts. The model the parts are fitted to is not included in the package.
