A printed set of corals from Green Stuff World: resin corals for underwater sceneries, scales around 1:48 to 1:35.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of corals made by three-dimensional printing in resin, intended for underwater sceneries and dioramas. The maker carries it for scales around one forty-eighth to one thirty-fifth. Corals are among the shapes that are difficult to make by conventional casting, because they have a lot of undercuts and fine projections, whereas printing manages them with no compromises. That is exactly why the set carries detail that would not come out of a mold.
Printed parts have no casting blocks but thin supports, which you cut off with a sharp knife and then sand the marks down. They are glued with super glue, that is with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting, as the paint will not otherwise hold on the smooth printed surface. Corals will take vivid colors, but under water too it holds that saturation falls with depth, so paint a model meant to go under a pour noticeably more strongly than it is finally to look. The fine projections are fragile, so work with them carefully.
For builders of underwater dioramas, for modelers building scenes with wrecks and for figure painters who make their own scenic bases.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
