Fusilier Grenadier de la Garde is a collector's figure cast in resin from the Czech manufacturer ROP o.s. The figure of 54 mm states the size of the figure, not a scale. The set is meant to be assembled and painted by the modeler and will please lovers of Napoleonic subjects.
The fusiliers-grenadiers were a foot unit of the French Imperial Guard from the beginning of the 19th century, from the period of the Napoleonic Wars. The uniform with its tall cap, cartridge pouches and period equipment is a rewarding subject for painting. The figure captures the typical look of a guard infantryman and is treated factually.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and dry-fit them. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your breathing while sanding. A primer and painting in thin coats are recommended; you will render the uniform, the face and the metal fittings with oils or acrylics, shading the highlights and shadows.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
