A collector's figure of the English king Richard the Lionheart in the 75 mm size. Suitable for separate display as well as a figure for a display case with a period theme.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents the English king Richard I, who was nicknamed the Lionheart. The 75 mm size belongs to the collector's scales in which work with a figure is rewarding: the figure is large enough for the face, the rendering of the steel and the folds of the fabric to stand out on it, and at the same time it fits into an ordinary display case.
Richard I came to the English throne at the close of the twelfth century and became renowned above all as a warrior. He spent most of his reign outside England, among other places on a crusade to the Holy Land. His likeness belongs among the favorite themes of historical figures, because it joins the marks of a ruler with the equipment of a fighter of his time.
The figure aims at collectors of historical figures and at modelers who want to turn aside from building hardware to painting a figure. It will also serve as a prominent element in an arrangement with a historical theme, where a single figure tends to be more effective than a whole group.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and let them dry, so that the paint holds. Apply a thin primer coat, which will unify the surface and show any unevenness. Build the skin and the metal in thin layers from a dark base toward the light edges, as one thick layer clogs the detail. Paint the face before you assemble the figure, if its breakdown allows it.
The package contains the stated figure. The paints, the brushes and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
