It is not a kit and not an accessory for a model, but a stand-alone collector's figure to be glued and painted. It belongs to the steampunk part of the 75 mm range that PANZER ART offers alongside its medieval knights; a steampunk submarine captain, for example, falls into the same group.
Steampunk is a retrofuturistic genre: it builds on machinery that the 19th century could have built if it had taken it further than it actually did. Visually that means brass and copper instead of plastic, riveted sheet metal, steam, gear wheels, leather straps, goggles and Victorian tailoring. For a painter it is a rewarding subject precisely because it has no period standard: there is no prescribed scheme against which a color solution could be called wrong, and matte cloth, polished metal and glass can be set side by side here.
Resin behaves differently from injection-molded plastic. First wash the parts in warm water with a drop of detergent so that any mold release residue disappears from the surface: without that the paint will not hold and will peel. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, do not snap them, and do not inhale the sanding dust from the resin. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); modeling cement for plastic does not work here. Before painting, apply a base coat in a thin layer, ideally by spraying.
