The Ju 88 came about as a fast bomber and during development was adapted for dive bombing as well. The A-4 version received Jumo 211J engines and a lengthened wing with rounded tips. It was the most numerously built variant of the A series and served on all European fronts and in the Mediterranean. The Ju 88 became the most versatile German twin-engine type of the war - night fighters and reconnaissance and torpedo versions grew from the same airframe, so machines of the same name differed markedly from one another.
In 1:144 scale what decides is the cleanliness of the printing, the seating of the propellers and the landing gear and the smoothness of the joint between the wing and the fuselage.
