Responsibility details are not available.
This large-format figure in 1:16 scale depicts an American soldier of the 1st Infantry Division, nicknamed the Big Red One, with a Bazooka anti-tank rocket launcher. The model is developed using modern 3D printing and the package offers variants of the armament, two forms of the launcher (the M1 and the M1A1) and two types of rocket, so the figure can be put together to match a particular period of service. It is supplied unpainted.
The 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army was among the most experienced formations of the Second World War; it fought on Sicily in 1943 and in the Normandy landings in 1944. The Bazooka hand-held anti-tank launcher (the M1 and the later M1A1) gave the infantry a means against armored vehicles; the operator fired a shaped-charge rocket from the shoulder. The large 1:16 scale comes into its own in the working of the uniform, the kit and the face.
Wash any mold release residue off the resin parts, separate the casting blocks and sand the joints. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. In the large scale smooth transitions of shadow and light come into their own; acrylic paints for figures are recommended, along with careful work on the face and the folds of the uniform, final toning with oil paints and gentle weathering of the kit.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the paints, the glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
