A plastic kit of the British biplane Gloster Gladiator Mk.I from the Ukrainian maker ICM in 1:32 scale. It is a mold developed in a modern way, with fine surface engraving and a detailed treatment of the cockpit as well as the engine. The set holds clear parts and decals for period markings.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last British biplane fighter. In the second half of the 1930s it served with the Royal Air Force and the Fleet Air Arm and with a number of other countries. A Bristol Mercury radial engine powered it, it had an enclosed cockpit and machine gun armament. It took part in combat in the early stages of the Second World War as well.
On a biplane the exact seating of the struts and the interplane bracing is the key; building in stages and letting the joints cure proves its worth. Stretched sprue can be added to suggest the bracing between the wings. A fine panel wash will bring out the matte period camouflage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
