This set of injection-molded plastic figures shows three American helicopter pilots of the Vietnam War period. The figures are designed to complete a helicopter model of the same scale or to serve in an aviation scene or a diorama. The package holds parts for building three figures.
Helicopters were among the symbols of the Vietnam War, providing transport, fire support and the evacuation of the wounded. The crews wore characteristic flying suits, helmets and equipment, which the set captures. The figures therefore illustrate the everyday reality of American helicopter aviation in this conflict.
Separate the parts from the sprue with a sharp knife and sand the parting lines down. They are glued with thin cement for plastic. Tone the flying suits in olive and khaki shades, and bring the helmets and equipment to life with washes and a dry brush. The faces and hands come out with gentle shading of skin tones.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
