Rockets of 28 cm caliber for the German rocket armament and wooden transport crates in 1:35 scale, six pieces in all.
Responsibility details are not available.
The German rocket armament of the Second World War, known collectively under the designation Nebelwerfer, reached from light six-barreled launchers up to heavy rockets of large calibers. The rocket of 28 cm caliber was among the heavy ones: short, stout and with a clearly set-off motor section. It was carried in crates, because a piece like that could be moved by hand only with difficulty and by two men.
Rockets of 28 cm caliber and wooden transport crates in 1:35 scale, six pieces in all. The combination of a rocket and a crate is a rewarding one for a diorama: the crate gives the view its shape and the rocket explains what it is about. The pieces can be built stacked, propped against a wall or scattered over the ground.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; on resin and metal, cyanoacrylate or epoxy holds. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder so that the crates meet level. Wash and degrease everything before painting. The crates suit a dark wash settled in the seams and the edges brought out with a dry brush, while the rocket comes out better with a smoother surface on which the transition between the warhead and the body can be seen.
For builders of dioramas from the Eastern as well as the Western Front who want to show what was fired as well as the equipment around it. The figures, the vehicle model, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
