A set of precisely turned metal barrels from Aber in 1:35 scale for models of the Soviet ZSU-23-4 Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft system. It is not a model but a set of replacement parts for a finished kit.

The real subject

The ZSU-23-4 Shilka is a tracked self-propelled anti-aircraft gun with four 23 mm 2A7 automatic guns in a rotating turret. The fine perforated cooling jackets of the barrels are visually demanding and stand out far better in metal than in plastic.

Fitting and use

Replace the plastic barrels with the metal ones and glue them with super glue. Line the thin barrels up so that they all point in parallel. Degrease the metal before painting and cover it with a primer for metal.
