This detail set from the Polish firm Aber contains four miniature vehicle width indicators (the Breitenmarkierung) in 1:35 scale. They are fine metal parts (etched brass, and turned pins where appropriate) that replace the coarse plastic components of a kit. It is not a model or a vehicle kit but a finishing accessory for raising the fidelity of a model you have already built.
On real German armored vehicles the width indicators were mounted on the front fenders. They helped the driver judge the outer line of the vehicle when passing through narrow places. In scale it is a prominent but tiny detail that plastic molds can manage only in simplified form. The set is intended for models of the Sd.Kfz.231, 232, 250 and 251 reconnaissance armored cars and halftracks.
Separate the parts carefully from the photo-etched fret with a sharp knife on a surface, and form the bends with a bending tool or two pairs of tweezers. They are glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before painting it is worth degreasing the brass and spraying it with a primer, so that the paint holds. Work in a well-ventilated room.
This is a finishing accessory for advanced modelers. The product itself is not a model or a kit, and the base vehicle model is not included in the package.
