The M88 A1 recovery vehicle in 1:35 scale gains, thanks to this photo-etched set, the fine metal grilles, grab handles and flat details that a plastic mold cannot create.

A photo-etched set of flat metal components intended to refine a model of the American armored recovery vehicle M88 A1 at 1:35 scale. It replaces thick-walled plastic imitations of things that are meant to be thin on the real machine: grilles, eyes, grab handles and rims. The base kit is something you have to have.
The M88 machine was born at the end of the 1950s out of the need to have, under fire, a vehicle able to tow away a damaged M48 or M60 tank. The A1 version, introduced in the second half of the 1970s, moved to diesel power and extended the range. The equipment includes a folding crane boom, a powerful main winch and a front blade that the machine braces against while pulling. With it a crew can change a powerpack right in the field. The vehicle proved itself in Vietnam and in the desert in 1991, and in modernized forms it serves to this day.
Before bending, heat longer straps and rims briefly over a candle flame and let them cool: the material softens and stops springing back. Prepare the small components over a tray, so that a part that flies off does not disappear into the carpet. Paint the assembled subassemblies separately from the body and join them only once they are dry.
The metal components arrive with no surface finish; paints and glue are not included.
