An injection-molded plastic kit of the German project tank Panther II with a turret of Rheinmetall design in 1:35 scale from the maker Amusing Hobby. The model captures a little covered variant with an alternative turret that has not been commonly available on a plastic kit until now. The kit contains photo-etched parts, wire and link tracks, which add to the detail. Check the exact contents of the package against what is stated on the box.
The Panther II was a project for the further development of the German medium tank Panther from the end of the Second World War. The aim was to unify its components with the heavy tank Tiger II, to strengthen the armor and to simplify production. The vehicle remained at the stage of a project and a prototype, and neither series production nor combat deployment came about. The turret designed by the Rheinmetall firm represented one of the armament variants under consideration.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and the photo-etched elements with super glue. Paint the running gear and the road wheels before you finish the hull. Apply a late-war German camouflage to the turret and the hull; after the base color, pick the details out with a wash and add dust and mud effects with pigments. Because this is a project machine, you have creative freedom in your choice of markings and weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
