An injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian unmanned ground combat vehicle Uran-9 in 1:35 scale from Amusing Hobby. The model captures the compact tracked vehicle with its remotely controlled weapon station and is an interesting representative of modern robotic combat equipment, which appears in plastic modeling only rarely.
The Uran-9 is a Russian remotely controlled tracked combat robot intended for reconnaissance and fire support. It carries a remotely controlled weapon station with a 30 mm automatic cannon, a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun and anti-tank guided missiles. It is a modern system that belongs among the so-called unmanned ground combat vehicles, used with no crew inside the machine.
Even on a small vehicle it pays to assemble and paint the running gear and the tracks first, before you cover them with the hull and the side panels. Spray the whole with a primer to even the surface out. Bring out the modern weapon station and the sensors with dark washes in the corners and along the edges; use pigments more sparingly, so that the dust and mud look believable on a modern machine. Bond the aerials and the fine parts with care, ideally at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
