An injection-molded plastic kit of the carrier version of the Junkers Ju 87 dive bomber in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Trumpeter. The package contains several pieces of the same aircraft and is conceived as an accessory for ship models - above all for an aircraft carrier in 1:350 scale, whose deck is populated with them. In this scale the aircraft is barely a few centimeters long, so the build rests on very few parts and on precise alignment.
The Ju 87C-1 was the carrier variant of the well-known dive bomber, adapted for operation from an aircraft carrier. It received folding wings for the hangar, a tailhook for landing on the deck and jettisonable landing gear in case of a forced landing on water. Because the German aircraft carrier was never completed, the type never actually went into carrier service and the machines that were built were used from land bases.
Cut the parts in 1:350 scale off with sprue cutters or a sharp scalpel and sand the remains of the gates down with fine abrasive paper rather than with a knife. Glue them with thin cement for plastic applied by capillary action with a fine brush - a thick drop would drown the shapes. Painting is best done by spraying in two steps: a lighter underside and darker upper surfaces. Markings in this scale are usually best only suggested; do not put a strong wash into the engraving, on such a small surface it looks unnatural.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
