The model captures this elegant ship of the Imperial Russian Navy from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and is built as a full-hull version with a support stand. The parts are in gray plastic, and the box contains decals and flags. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Varyag was a protected cruiser of the Imperial Russian Navy built at the end of the 19th century. It became famous for its unequal fight off the Korean port of Chemulpo (Incheon) at the start of the Russo-Japanese War, where the crew faced a far stronger Japanese force. The ship became a symbol of courage and its fate entered naval history.
The model rewards careful fitting of the fine parts of the armament, the boats and the crane booms. The hull can be built complete on the stand. We recommend thin cement for plastic, a base coat and an airbrush; bring out the deck details and the fittings with a fine wash. Add the rigging and the mast lines with thin thread according to the drawings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
