Decals with a wood pattern for cockpit interiors from Uschi van der Rosten. A sheet measuring 100 x 60 mm with four textures.
Responsibility details are not available.
This item is a sheet of decals, not a model. It carries a printed wood pattern that is applied to a surface in the cockpit and takes the place of painting. The difference is fundamental: a painted imitation of wood is only ever as good as the modeler's brushwork, whereas a printed texture has a real pattern of grain and pores, the same over the whole surface. It is used wherever the inside of the cockpit was wooden or plywood, which holds for most aircraft of the First World War and for a number of machines of the interwar period. The sheet measures 100 by 60 millimeters and carries four different textures, so individual surfaces or kinds of wood can be distinguished.
The sheet is for modelers who build aircraft with a wooden interior, that is, mainly machines of the First World War. It also comes into its own on vehicles, ships and dioramas, where a wooden surface is needed in a small scale.
It is not a model. The kit, paints, setting solution and clear coat are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
