A plastic model of the British Handley Page Hampden TB.Mk.I torpedo bomber in 1:48 scale from ICM — the box also holds a torpedo and its transport trolley.
Responsibility details are not available.
A model of the British twin-engine Handley Page HP.52 Hampden in its torpedo-carrying TB.Mk.I version, scale 1:48, from the Ukrainian maker ICM. According to the manufacturer the box contains a torpedo and a transport trolley and decals for four RAF Coastal Command schemes. A kit to be glued and painted.
The Handley Page Hampden was a British twin-engine bomber of the early Second World War with a characteristically narrow fuselage, which earned it the nickname Flying Suitcase, powered by Bristol Pegasus radial engines. The torpedo-carrying TB.Mk.I version came from conversions and served with Coastal Command on attacks against shipping.
We recommend building the model in subassemblies and dry-fitting the parts before gluing them. Paint the cockpit and interior, and pick out the detail with a wash if you wish, before closing up the fuselage. For the best result use a good liquid cement for plastic, fine files and, after a primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
