An injection-molded plastic kit of the unusual tug aircraft He 111Z-1 Zwilling, meaning twin. The model is made up of two He 111 fuselages joined by a new center wing section with a fifth engine. It is a sizable kit for more experienced modelers. Decals for Eastern Front machines are included; take the exact package contents from the instructions.
The He 111Z-1 came about by joining two He 111H-6 airframes with a new wing insert carrying a fifth engine. It served as a heavy tug for the giant Me 321 glider or for a pair of Go 242 gliders. Only a few were built, and they were used mostly on the Eastern Front for towing and transport.
Because of the great span and the five engines, plan the sequence and the order of gluing in advance. Mask the extensive glazing before spraying. We recommend a primer, an airbrush and an emphasis on the panels with washes. Apply the decals over a gloss base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
