This set from Clear Prop Models contains two sets of pieces: one shaped for the outer surface of the glazing and the other for its inner side. The difference from the single-sided form lies exactly in that second half, and in practice it decides how the finished cockpit will look from close up.
On the real machine the canopy frames were painted from both sides, so looking through the clear parts you see the inner shade as well. When masking is done only from the outside, bare plastic shows through under the frame and the joint looks unfinished, especially with an open canopy. A double-sided set removes that problem and at the same time protects the inner surface of the glass from being fogged by paint.
The single-seat version of the British and French ground-attack machine served with the Royal Air Force under the designations GR.1 and GR.3, and in France as variant A. The aircraft was designed for penetration at low altitude and high speed, it had rugged landing gear for operation from unpaved surfaces and it ended a long career only after 2000. Its cockpit is fairly complex, so masking takes up a considerable part of the work on a model.
The package contains exclusively masking pieces cut from yellow kabuki paper. Clear parts, paints and the aircraft itself are not part of it.
