An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The subject is the MH-60L DAP, that is the heavily armed version of the Black Hawk helicopter in service with American special forces. The manufacturer states AGM-114 Hellfire antitank guided missiles and the M230 automatic cannon, and further two variants of the in-flight refueling system and two marking options.
The DAP designation corresponds to the role that a specialized aviation unit called for at the beginning of the 1990s: to escort transport helicopters, help them with fire, engage armored vehicles and suppress air defenses, and to do so at night and in poor conditions as well. In place of a cargo compartment the machine therefore carries armament on pylons along the sides of the fuselage.
Think the cockpit and the fitting of the pylons through before the fuselage is closed, because you will not reach them later. Mask the glazed sections; on a helicopter they are large and clearly visible. The dark finish of special forces machines can be brought to life by subtle panel highlighting and rubs on the edges of the doors and on the step areas. Let the rotor blades dry separately, so that they do not bend.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
