The battleship Bismarck 1:700 is a plastic kit of the famous German battleship of the Second World War from Revell.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the German battleship Bismarck in 1:700 scale. The modern Revell tooling offers a detailed hull with suggested riveting, decks with a planked surface, rotating gun turrets with movable barrels, fine masts, ship's boats and shipboard floatplanes. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Bismarck was one of the largest battleships of the Second World War, commissioned in 1940. During Operation Rheinubung in May 1941 she sank the British battlecruiser Hood and a few days later she was herself sunk after an extensive pursuit by the British fleet. She carried a massive main armament in rotating turrets.
Build the hull carefully and sand the seams. The gray wartime finish with darker bands of dazzle paint is characteristic; paint it with an airbrush and masking. Fit the fine masts, boats and floatplanes only after the main surfaces have been painted. A wash works well for bringing out the deck and the details. The model can be completed with photo-etched railing sets, but it is perfectly buildable straight from the box.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
