An injection-molded plastic kit of the guided missile cruiser Vilna Ukraina in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The model can be built as a full-hull variant or as a waterline version, and a base and a decal sheet are included in the box. The finished model measures about 26.5 cm.
Vilna Ukraina belongs to the Slava class (Project 1164), the large guided missile cruisers with their characteristic angled anti-ship missile containers along the sides of the superstructure. It was the last unit of this class; the ship was never completed. The model captures the typical silhouette of the class with its pyramidal superstructure and its rich sensor and weapon fit.
Decide in advance on the full hull or the waterline version. Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement and the thin and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Treat the hull and the decks with primer and paint them with an airbrush; the radars, the masts and the railings can be improved with separate photo-etched sets.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
