An injection-molded plastic kit of the ASF-X Shinden II fighter in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The model is supplied unpainted and is built by gluing; the decals and the parts breakdown are given in the instructions inside the kit.
The ASF-X Shinden II is a fictional fighter from a Japanese aviation game series. The mechanical design was created under the lead of the well-known mecha designer Shoji Kawamori and combines current aircraft technology with futuristic shaping: a variable-geometry layout with a forward-swept wing and canards. The name refers to the Japanese Kyushu J7W1 Shinden fighter prototype from the end of the Second World War, which likewise had an unconventional canard configuration.
Paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before you close up the fuselage. Every unevenness shows on the smooth surfaces, so sand the joints carefully and lay down a primer before painting. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats; apply a gloss clear coat under the decals and, once they have settled, overcoat with a matte one, which will give the model an understated finish. Glue the canopy with cement for clear parts only.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
