This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the two-seat trainer version of the legendary Soviet MiG-25. The model from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM has a faithful airframe shape and the kit is glued and painted in the classic way. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The MiG-25 (Foxbat in NATO code) was a Soviet high-speed aircraft able to fly well above three times the speed of sound, originally developed as an interceptor and a reconnaissance machine. The RU version was a two-seat trainer conversion with a second, separate cockpit for the instructor, used to train pilots of the MiG-25 family. A structure largely of welded steel allowed extreme performance at the cost of high weight.
Give attention to seating both cockpits and the clear covers. The large flat surfaces of the airframe reward careful sanding of the joints and spraying with an airbrush. For metallic and light gray shades, primer and subsequent layering prove their worth; a gloss coat under the decals prevents silvering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
