Mil Mi-8MT / Mi-17 Hip-H 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet twin-engine transport helicopter from Hobby Boss.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the medium transport helicopter Mil Mi-8MT, which under the export designation Mi-17 is widespread all over the world (the NATO reporting name Hip-H). The model has finely engraved panel lines, a well-developed interior of the cockpit and the cargo compartment, a rotor head and separately shaped entrance doors. Take the exact contents of the boxing as indicative.
The Mi-8 and its more powerful Mi-8MT/Mi-17 versions are among the most widespread helicopters in history. They serve to transport troops and cargo, for airborne and supply tasks and, in armed versions, for fire support as well. You can recognize the Mi-17 version by the tail rotor on the left side and by the dust filters ahead of the engine intakes. The machine has proved itself in demanding climatic and mountain conditions.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint and assemble the interior of the cockpit and the cargo compartment before closing the fuselage, because it is clearly visible through the glazing later. We recommend a primer and an airbrush. The large fuselage surfaces come out well with a subtle emphasis of the panels and with the weathering of service added around the exhausts and the landing gear. Mask the clear parts and paint them at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
